Most men’s knitwear drawers look the same. A grey marl, a navy crew neck, maybe something in oatmeal that was on sale. None of it is wrong exactly, but none of it is particularly interesting either. There is a version of a jumper that does everything the classics do in terms of warmth and wearability, but also gives an outfit something to actually say. That is what this collection is about. We have been looking for pieces with genuine character, whether that comes from an unexpected colour, a considered texture, an unusual construction, or just a silhouette that feels a bit more considered than the standard fit. Nothing in here is eccentric for the sake of it. These are jumpers that work in the real world, over a shirt, under a jacket, on their own with a good trouser. They just happen to be more interesting than what most men already own. That tends to be worth something.
