Most long sleeve t-shirts fail at the same moment. You wash them twice, the fabric thins out, and what was supposed to look considered now looks like something you sleep in. The other failure mode is the opposite problem: too thick, too tight across the shoulders, and suddenly you feel like you’re being assessed for a superhero role rather than heading out for dinner. Neither is where you want to be.

What we’ve been looking for here is the middle ground. Fabric with enough weight to hold its shape through a season, a cut that works on a normal human body without clinging, and a neckline that stays where it’s supposed to. These are the ones that layer properly under an overshirt or a jacket, and hold their own worn alone. Crew or mock neck, neutral or considered colour. The brief was sharp without trying too hard. Everything in here cleared that bar without a conversation about it.
