There is a version of the flannel shirt that has spent too long associated with lumberjack costumes and lazy Saturdays that never quite went anywhere. Cotton flannel, done properly, is something else entirely. The fabric has a softness that you notice immediately but it holds its structure in a way that brushed alternatives rarely manage. It presses well enough to wear with trousers, relaxes well enough to wear with jeans, and sits in that useful middle ground where a lot of actual dressing happens. We have been paying particular attention to collar construction and weight because those two things determine whether a flannel shirt looks considered or just comfortable. Comfortable on its own is not enough. The checks and colours in here are the ones that work with what most men already own rather than demanding a new wardrobe around them. These shirts earn their place in regular rotation and do not require any convincing after the first wear.
