The bucket hat has been declared dead and resurrected so many times that at this point the conversation is more exhausting than the hat itself. What actually matters is whether the one you buy still looks good in three years. Most do not. The ones that fall apart fastest tend to be single sided, made from whatever nylon was cheapest that quarter, and sized in a way that fits nobody particularly well. Reversible versions done properly are a different thing altogether. Two colourways in one hat means you are not carrying extra weight for versatility, you are just buying it in. We have been looking specifically at options where both sides earn their place, not one good side and one you would never actually wear. Construction matters here as much as fabric. Stitching, brim stiffness, how the interior sits against your head. These are the ones worth spending properly on rather than replacing every summer.
