The belt is the most underestimated thing a man puts on in the morning. Nobody notices a great one. Everybody notices a bad one, usually because the buckle has gone brassy, the leather has started to crack along the keeper, or the whole thing just looks like it came free with something else. Pin buckle belts are the classic choice for a reason. They work with a suit, they work with chinos, and they sit flat under a jacket in a way that plate buckles never quite manage. The problem has always been finding ones that hold up past the first season. We have been looking specifically at leather quality, stitching at the tip, and whether the buckle finish survives actual daily wear rather than just looking good in a product shot. Width matters too. A 35mm belt reads very differently to a 30mm one depending on what you are wearing it with. The ones here are worth the attention.
