Gradient lenses are one of those details that separate a considered face from a forgettable one. The tint is darker at the top and fades out toward the bottom, which means you get sun protection where you need it and a cleaner look overall. They also photograph well, which is not nothing. The problem is that the market runs from genuinely excellent to absolutely terrible, and the price does not always tell you which is which. We have been through enough pairs to know that frame weight, hinge quality, and how the gradient is applied all matter more than the badge on the arm. Cheap gradients look washed out in person. Good ones have depth and intention. Everything in here sits at a price point that feels fair rather than aspirational, and none of them look it. Some are classic aviators. Some lean more modern. All of them earn their place on your face this summer.
